Need some entertainment over Mid Winter Break? Work on an at-home science project anytime between now and the March 3 STEM Fair! This is our biggest event of the year featuring student projects, plus an egg drop, nocturnal animals, the Museum of Flight, rocks & gemstones and more! Be sure to register your project by this Friday, February 20 (free tri-fold boards are located in the main office for the first 50 students who sign up), and then create a poster to display and share your findings at the STEM Fair. We will see you there!
We are beginning to plan for major events including Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week and Field Day. We are lucky to have awesome volunteers who have stepped up to lead the coordination of these events but it takes a team to put them on for our community. Please email president@wellingtonpta.org if you can help with Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week or have new ideas for Field Day. Don’t have that kind of time? Coordinate a Wellington Night Out at a Mariner’s Game—if you’d like to see this happen, we need your help!

Principal Schoenfeldt will be presenting the Wellington School Action Plan (SAP) from 5:30-6:30pm over Zoom. The SAP outlines the goals that school leadership has set for our school and how the school works to meet those goals. Zoom information will be added as the date gets closer.

Some Important Emergency Reminders:
If you are volunteering at school and a drill or a true emergency occurs, please remain with your class until you are directed to exit the building. Once outside, all volunteers should check in with Ms. Beavo in the Courtyard (specifically by the table near the Publishing Room). Ms. Beavo will then take attendance so we can also account for all adults at school. If you arrive to school while a drill is happening, please proceed straight to the Courtyard to check in.

Check out our new Spirit Wear designs for this year (designed by a Wellington parent). Spirit Wear is on sale here, and proceeds from sales go back to PTA to support our school grants, programs and events! Donate previously loved Spirit Wear to the PTA; we'll have another free Spirit Wear Swap during the Art Walk & Book Fair Family Fun Night on March 24. The donation bin is in the main office.
