Congratulating...

Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for the

Outstanding Educator Award and/or the Golden Acorn Awards.

The Outstanding Educator Award is presented to a teacher or staff member of Wellington who goes above and beyond the normal expectations of their job to make the learning environment fun, beneficial, and challenging.  A donation has been made in their name to the WA State PTA Scholarship fund.

The PTA's 2011-2012 Outstanding Educator Award went to...Sue Styrlund

The Golden Acorn Award is presented to individuals who give exemplary volunteer service to the children of Wellington Elementary and our PTA.  This is a special award to honor PTA members for their contributions and to celebrate the difference they make in our community.   We have 3 recipients this year and a donation has been made in each of their names to the WA State PTA Scholarship fund.

The PTA's 2011-2012 Golden Acorn recipients are...

* Meggin Mann

* Sandra Pell

* Sandra Mollerup

If you get a chance, please congratulate these amazing people.

On behalf of the PTA, we thank them for their contributions to Wellington!

Coming Soon…

Wellington Field Day 2012!!

It’s been a while since Wellington Elementary has celebrated the passing of

 another school year and welcomed summer break with a FIELD DAY!!  That’s

about to change!  Because the Fall FunRaiser and Reusable Bag Sales generated adequate funds for the year, we are able to replace our traditional Spring

Fundraiser, The Walk-A-Thon, with a school-wide Field Day!!

üWhen?Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 1:15 PM to 2:45 PM

üWhere?Wellington Playground

üWho?All Wellington Students

In order for us to make this event a success, we will need MANY volunteers throughout the entire day for set up, event management and clean up.If you are interested in helping with Field Day please contact Helen Segale at thornhp@yahoo.com to be added to the volunteer list.In addition to volunteers, we have put together a “wish list” of items we’d love to borrow (or have donated) from our community.If you are able to lend or procure any of the items below please let Helen know.
